Think Spring Blooming Bulbs This Fall

“Spring adds new life and new beauty to all that is.”
— Jessica Harrelson

Fall is the best time to shop for and plant your Spring blooming bulbs. Our Garden Store is overflowing with varieties of Tulips, Daffodils, Crocus, Allium, Iris, and Snowdrops and these Fall bulbs should be planted as soon as the ground is cool when evening temperatures average between  40° – 50° F. Now through November is the best time to plant your bulbs because the soil is easy to work with, whereas in the depths of Winter the ground may be frozen over. Depending on what you are planting, you only need to dig holes between 4-6 inches deep and place your bulb pointy side up with the root side down. Next, backfill your soil and let the Autumn rains do the watering for you. Most bulbs prefer Spring sunshine, so place them accordingly. With the arrival of February, March, and April, observe and enjoy the colors and textures that emerge in your garden.
