Q: Hi John,
What is the appropriate date to plant tomatoes outside?
Thank you,
Sandra, Anacortes, WA
A: Dear Sandra,
With temperatures still in the 40’s at night, tomato plants are best planted at the end of May when all probabilities of cold have passed, or protect with a cloche.
With over 50 varieties of tomatoes (also heirloom types) to choose from now, including our best selling varieties ‘Early Girl’, ‘Sweet 100’, and ‘Sun Bold’.
Happy gardening!
